Tigers Dance Team
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------So far this year, the Dance Team is off to a good start. This season we have 10 girls that made the team, 8 returning and 2 new members. Our team is a young one this year, with only one senior, one junior and eight sophmores. This year we not only have one coach, but we have Two-Coach Heckendorf and Coach Washburn. We are looking forward to working with our new coach. This year we are planning to do some competitions throughout the year. It is something that we will be working hard for. On Saturday the14, we had a dance clinic that ran from 1:00-5:00 PM. During this clinic, two dances were taught that we will perform. The Dance Team performs at halftime during basketball games. We are excited for a fun season, filled with challenges and performances.

Coming into this season, our team is looking to be pretty young. We only have a few returning Varsity players (Conrad Bragee, Jake Perner, Greg Von Ruden, Will Peasley). Besides the two seniors (Conrad Bragee and Josh Boehm), the rest of the team will be juniors and possibly some sophmores. Our team lost some key players (Jake Taylor, Geoff Laudon, Horacio Lezcano, Andy Seguin) because of graduation. We are going to need players to step up and fill in those spots. I think it will be interesting to see what happens and I feel like we will have a great season. Most of us have been playing together for a long time. So this season should be pretty fun.

Winter Sports Student-Athlete Insiders
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------For the winter sports season, we are going to have more people writing about their sport. This season, we have Joel Millis with hockey, Greg Von Ruden with boys basketball, Melinda Loudon with girls basketball, Jayson Sargent with wrestling and Hannah Dvorak with the Danz team. They will do what the people for football, girls tennis, volleyball and cross country did.

We have gotten the names of Coulee Conference Player of the Year for each sports. Black River Falls is home to three of those people, Jake Perner from Football, Will Peasley from Cross Country and Sierra Johnson from Tennis. These three athletes have done very well in there respective sports and will continue to do so in the years that follow.

State Championship Games
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So we have finally arrived at the biggest game of the year for the last 14 teams still playing. Some teams only get 3-4 days worth of practice, others get 4-5 days. No matter how much they practice, it will only come down to 48 minutes of excitement, dedication and heart. As an added bonus, they even get to play at Camp Randall...who wouldn't want to be playing in November anyways?
